Both Grandeur playhouses have now found permanet homes.

One was given away at the Winkler Harvest Festival and the other this weekend at the Morden Corn and Apple.

Both Grandeur Housing manager John Froese and Carol Gavard Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters are absolutely thrilled with how well the fundraiser went over.

Froese explains the idea was born in a meeting to build smaller versions of their more successful homes and not wanting to throw all their hard work away, decided to donate them.

He says they began building the first playhouse in May and the entire staff of Grandeur Housing played a part.

Gavard says not only did Grandeur donate the playhouses they also put a lot of work into selling tickets.

With 100 percent of the ticket sales going towards Big Brothers Big Sisters, over 27,000 dollars has been donated.
