Clearing the air about a school division's mission statement.

The Manitoba Human Rights Commission wants to clarify what has happened with their dialogue with Garden Valley Collegiate in Winkler.

Executive Director Dianna Scarth says there was no hearing into the case or a ruling.

She says someone had raised concern the G.V.S.d. mission statement included "church" and "christian principles."

So the commission starting corresponding with the division and Scarth says the school board has agreed to review the mission statement following civic elections in October.

She says the commission also looked at mission statements of other school divisions and did not find fault with any of them.
