Scott Bell and Mason Weselowski joined the Morning Show ahead of The Back 40 Folk Festival to present The 70s Show at the PW Enns Centennial Concert Hall on Saturday, April 20th. A variety of local artists will grace the stage to honor the music of the 1970s.

Weselowski, along with his band The Razberry Jam, will be taking on the music of Paul Simon. He discussed his exploration of 70s music, saying, "There's certainly a lot of artists that I've heard a lot about and hadn't spent very much time listening to. Thankfully, I can open up a 70s playlist and suddenly this whole catalog of music is available to me. So artists like Paul Simon, for example, or even Neil Young, some of the tracks that I'd never heard before, it's fun to go back and listen to that stuff."

Joining The Razberry Jam will be Joe Wilson, BK and the Bad Habits, Link and the Moustaches, Bill Dowling and the Even Breaks, Madel Morin, Jayme Giesbrecht, and The Seven Pines. Each artist will perform around three songs from their selected 70s artist. Bell reflected on the dedication of the musicians to prepare for the event, stating, "For some it's a learning opportunity. They're delving into these artists that they might not have listened to very much. And then for some of the more mature musicians, it's a chance for us to cover these bands that we grew up with and mean a great deal to us."

There promises to be an abundance of enjoyment on Saturday night, with Weselowski urging all generations to attend the show and pay homage to the 70s. He remarked, "There's some great local talent playing these songs and every band's got their own personality and their own artistic voice and the songs are legendary, but hearing them live and local, I mean, there's just nothing that replaces that."
