The Manitoba government is being pushed to release information.

A review was recently conducted for child and family services examining the state of child welfare in the province.

Morris MLA Mavis Taillieu, The Family Services Critic, fears for the safety of children in welfare.

She says if there is no children at risk its fine, but for the children at risk they want to know what the government is doing to address the situation.

Tallieu has filed a freedom of information request for the results of the review.

She explains this is a final resort to get information unreleased by the government and usually takes thirty days.
