The Dauphin Bible Camp could be back in business next week despite a devastating fire this week.  Wayne Eisbrenner is the Manitoba Field Director for One Hope Canada, the group that operates the camp. He says their old chapel, kitchen and dining hall were destroyed.

The good news is the camp is nearing completion of its new dinning hall and kitchen.

"We had one inspector there yesterday and it looks like we may be able to get that occupancy permit as soon as this Friday coming up," said Eisbrenner. "If we have a kitchen and dinning hall facility that's pretty major to having camp. So, we have every confidence that once we get that occupancy permit we will be able to proceed with the rest of the summer doing camp at Dauphin Bible Camp."

Eisbrenner noted they hope to have the next set of campers at the Bible camp this coming Wednesday.

The camp hosts about 70 to 100 campers and houses around 45 staff each week of the summer.
