Thursday is the deadline for tax payments in the Town of Morden.

CAO Ernie Epp says one payment option at this point as a post-dated cheque.

He says this would allow you to have your bill paid on time and avoid the potential line up.

Epp says the most common methods of payment are pre-authorized withdrawl, and through internet or telebanking.

However, he says these are not viable options this close to the deadline as the payments will not likely be processed by Thursday.

Epp says over the past couple of years, the taxes collected by the due date has been well over 90%.

He says for those who do not make the deadline, they are charged an interest rate of 1.25% a month.

Epp says this is common with most other municipalities.
