Kids from across the region are getting the chance to hit the ice with their local Pembina Valley Twisters players. The Little Shooters Club sees each player bring three kids from their community to a home game this season and spend some pre-game time on the ice and in the dressing room. The kids will also get to take shots at the goalie during intermissions.

Twisters co-owner Pat Schmitke says it's exciting to bring this kind of community spirit to the team and the kids in the club were tremendously excited for the first run, which took place Sunday in Morris.

He hopes the Little Shooters remember this experience and suspects some may grow up to be Twisters players themselves.

"At some point our kids age-out and we're always going to be looking for new players."

The Little Shooters Club will take to the ice every Pembina Valley Twisters home game this season.
