A farmer near St. Joseph will begin harvesting his edible bean crop in the next few days.

Luc Remillard seeded 1,800 acres of wheat, oats, millet, sunflowers, edible beans, soybeans, and flax this spring.

He just began cutting his edible bean crop, and so far it looks fairly good, but Remillard does have some concerns over seed size.

Meanwhile, Remillard is growing soybeans for the first time, and the crop looks good so far.

He adds it will be after harvest before he decides whether soys will be taking some of his edible bean acres next year.

As for his sunflower crop, it looks excellent and it will soon be dessicated.
