Lakes and Pines is a local band from the Pembina Valley that has been playing great indie-folk music since Patrick and Derek got together, but since then they've added bass and drums, cello, and even a violin to help their sound get fuller over the years.

With that fuller sound, they have a collection of songs ready that they would like to turn into their debut album. Albums cost money to make, and even though they've saved up, there is still a long way to go, and that's where we come in, with crowd funding,Flo and Patrick At The Country 88 Studio with Ty Hildebrand

What is Crowd funding?

Basically it's a way for you to pre-order the album, or more if you'd like! You can make a donation, and receive the physical album, or step it up to get a T-shirt and the album, all the way to Lakes and Pines playing a house concert for you!

The community support means the world to Lakes and Pines

"When I came from Austria from Manitoba, I felt that community support." Florian tells us "I don't know if it's the cold winters or moist summers, but it is a different feeling of community... There is a sense of community that stands behind you and wants to support you."

"This amount of work and poetry and love that we put into this music is worth being pressed onto CD, put into a CD player and press play to enjoy it." Florian explains when asked how important a physical album is to Lakes and Pines.
