Farmers appear to believe their control over the Canadian Wheat Board is being eroded.
The CWB released the results of its annual producer survey on Wednesday.
60 percent of those surveyed believe the federal government has more say than farmers in decisions made by the CWB, compared with 49 percent last year.
Meanwhile, 76 percent of respondents said the federal government should not eliminate the CWB without farmer consent.
When it came to the main question of marketing structure, 69 percent of respondents said they support retaining the single desk for wheat, while 48 percent prefer the single desk for barley.
The survey included 900 producers from the prairie provinces. It was conducted in early spring.
