The Zone 4 champion Portage Collegiate Trojans finished in fifth place and the host Northlands Parkway Collegiate Nighthawks were in a tie for sixth spot with the Steinbach Regional Secondary School at the Provincial High School Golf Championship Friday at the Winkler golf course.

Clark Bolton had the low round of the day for the Trojans with a seven-over par 78. Logan Rand was 87, Owen Gillespie was 88 and Tanner Boyle was 95.

Caydon Klassen was the low Nighthawk with an 81 followed by Marcus Neufeld at 86. Andrew Lane was 87 and Eric Klassen was 96.

PCI was 253 and Northlands Parkway was 254.

The boys championship banner went to the Miles Macdonnell Buckeyes.

Ryan McMillan, Cameron McIntyre, Brock Namaka and Brett Walter finished with a 237 total. That was five shots better than Evan Grierson, Anthony Leicht, Neel Soni and Evan Ruta of St. John's Ravenscourt. McMillan had the low round of the day with a one-over par 72.

The girls title belongs to the Vincent Massey Vikings of Brandon.

Tianna Slate, Hayley Shanks, Brynee Pachinski and Hailey Curtis finished with a 267 total which was 64 shots ahead of Kate Gregoire, Morgan Steele and Lexi Cheveldayoff of St. Mary's Academy. Bobby Uhl of Erickson had the low round with a five-over par 76.


Clark Bolton of Portage Collegiate
