Morden Fire and Rescue, along with other emergency crews, responded to a fire at Minnewasta Golf and Country Club Saturday morning after 9 a.m.
Witnesses tell PembinaValleyOnline flames could be seen shooting through the roof and structure of the timber frame building which housed the former The Oaks Restaurant as well as banquet hall. According to a post on the Winkler Fire Department's Facebook page, they were dispatched for mutual aid at the structure fire.
The Office of the Fire Commissioner will be assisting with the investigation into what caused the fire.
