Thursday, some of the City of Morden's business' were recognized for their hard work and dedication, at the Morden and District Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Gala, held at the Access Event Centre.

Each year there are four awards given out including; Entrepreneur of the Year, Not for Profit of the Year, Business of the Year with over seven employees, Business of the year, with under seven employees.

Winner's of the Not for Profit of the year went to the Morden and Area Foundation, and the Entrepreneur of the Year was awarded to Reg Braun of Gallery Wealth Management.

Meanwhile, Pure Anada, Natural Cosmetics took home the Business of the Year award for under seven employees.

"It's a great honour, because when you own a business you work hard every day. It's just nice to be recognized for our achievements," explained Pure Anada Owner Candace Grenier.

Grenier started the business in her home roughly ten years ago, and now is selling cosmetics in over 250 retail locations across Canada. In addition the Pure Anada brand, the staff also manufactures cosmetics for over thirty private label brands around the world.

The recipient of the Business of the year award, with over seven employees went to the Morden Veterinary Clinic.

"I do appreciate it though," explained Dr. Rick Wiens, with the Morden Veterinary Clinic. "We do work hard to serve our clients. The animals and people we serve are very important. I just am thankful for them, and the staff we have to do that. They all work together, and I certainly couldn't take the credit for myself."

The Vet clinic has been providing animal care services to Morden and surrounding areas since the 1950's. They provide high quality, cost effective care for animals big and small.
