With our kids back in school, walking to and from in the morning at lunch and after school, Canadian Pacific Railway Police Service is reminding students, parents, and caregivers trespassing on railway property is not considered a safe route to school.

Canadian Pacific Railway held their "Back To School Rails Safety Campaign" last week across the country. Last week, and going forward, officers are paying extra special attention to any public rail crossings and railway rights-of-way in and around school zones.

Students are reminded any route which is not marked as a railway crossing is illegal and dangerous to use as a short cut or route to school.

News Reporter Rochelle Rawdon caught up with Media Relations with Canadian Pacific Railway Andy Cummings. He explained the focus behind the campaign.
