The Winkler Chamber and Plum Coulee Chamber of Commerce teamed up earlier this summer to raise money for local non-profits, Pembina Valley Pregnancy Care Centre and the Plum Coulee Foundation.

"Money from the community going back into the community," Tanya Chateauneuf, Executive Director of the Winkler Chamber of Commerce says.

The funds were raised, $400 for each non-profit, from the joint chambers' golf tournament this June.

Linda Marek, PVPCC Executive Director explains funding helps continue to offer free, confidential counselling.

"We really appreciate it, because all the support we receive goes back to individuals, families, moms, parents, so we can encourage them and see lives transformed with hope and healing," Marek says. "This helps us do that each day."

June Letkeman of the Plum Coulee Chamber of Commerce explains they appreciate the partnership with the Winkler chamber.

"It's very fortunate for us, because we're too small to sponsor a tournament on our own," Letkeman says. "It's a great day and we raise money for charity."

The Foundation's portion of the proceeds will support the Plum Coulee Endowment Fund.
