Two key agricultural seed and chemical manufacturers could seal the deal on their proposed merger this week.

Providing all regulatory approvals are in place, Bayer could complete its acquisition of Monsanto as early as Thursday.

Last week the U.S. and Canada gave their conditional approvals for the plan once divestment's to BASF are completed.

BASF is buying the LibertyLink properties from Bayer.

Once the merger is completed the Monsanto name will disappear, the product names will remain the same but everything will fall under the Bayer name.
