Staffing changes continue to take place at the Canadian Grain Commission.

Jocelyn Beaudette will be appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer effective June 19, replacing Gord Miles, who is retiring at the end of June.

"The Canadian Grain Commission will benefit from Jocelyn Beaudette's dynamic leadership skills and her broad experience in government and the agriculture industry. I'm very pleased to welcome her to the organization," said Chief Commissioner Patti Miller. "I would like to thank Gord Miles for his years of dedicated leadership at the Canadian Grain Commission and his service to the grains and oilseeds sector."

Beaudette has been with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada for 26 years, most recently as Director General of Farm Income Programs. She was responsible for managing the recent Canadian Wheat Board Transition Costs Program.

Beaudette holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Manitoba and an Honours degree in Political Studies.
