In its latest report, the Canadian Crop Hail Association says Manitoba had been relatively quiet in July until the final week where losses were reported in the southern regions of the province, including Morden, Winkler, Pilot mound and Crystal City areas.

There was a storm July 21 near Miniota with walnut-sized hail reported. Also, golf ball-sized hail was reported near Roblin.

Another storm on July 24 and 25 in Alexander had two storms within half an hour.

The small community of Medora southwest of Brandon had the biggest hail at tennis-ball-sized.

Damage from these storms was variable.
