There's been a major merger in the agriculture equipment sales sector in Saskatchewan & Manitoba.

The Jim Pattison Group announced this week that they will be merging their JayDee AgTech and Maple Farm Equipment dealerships to form a new entity, Pattison Agriculture.

The dealerships' main focus is John Deere farm equipment.

The Pattison Group acquired JayDee AgTech and Maple Farm Equipment in 2014.

Between the two dealerships, there are 17 locations in Saskatchewan and Manitoba employing over 440 people.

Pattison Agriculture will be headquartered in Swift Current. The lone Manitoba dealership is in Russell.
