Manitoba Agriculture's weekly crop report is pegging seeding progress at about 80 per cent complete across the province.

Winter injury resulted in some reseeding of winter wheat in the central, eastern, and Interlake regions, while dry conditions have resulted in slow growth and difficulties assessing injury.

Precipitation was variable throughout the province over the past week, with most areas in the central and eastern regions receiving rain and smaller amounts in the Interlake and western regions. Additional precipitation is needed to assist with crop germination, emergence, and growth.

Flea beetle activity has been reported in some regions, with control measures necessary in some fields.

Pasture and forage growth has improved in areas that received rain, but supplemental feeding is still required in most areas.
