Starting Tuesday, April 11, farmers will once again be allowed to apply nutrients to their fields.

This includes sources containing nitrogen and/or phosphorus including synthetic fertilizer and livestock manure.

April 10 is the last day of the province's winter nutrient ban, which is put in place to protect waterways from nutrient run-off.

Normally, the ban in implemented from November 10th to April 10th of each year, however the deadline was extended last fall due above normal temperatures.
