About 400 people were on hand yesterday for the 9-11 ceremony at the International Peace Garden.

Over 200 people attended this year's 5th anniversary ceremony.

Premier Gary Doer praised emergency workers for their efforts in 2001 and what they do today.

North Dakota's Lieutenant-Governor Jack Dalrymple said the Peace Garden is the perfect place to reflect on 9-11 and the friendship that exists between our two nations.

The entrance to the Peace Garden was lined with two emergency ladder trucks hoisting Canadian and U.S. flags across the international boundary.
