Nearly $24,000 is being invested back into Altona and the Municipality of Rhineland, thanks to the Altona Community Foundation (ACF). The organization is supporting 8 local projects through its annual spring granting period. 

“For the current Spring Granting period, ACF is excited to grant over $23,000 directly into our local community in various projects, which will benefit members of our community for many years to come. Every donation is appreciated so we can continue giving back to our communities.” said Foundation Granting Committee Chair Tracy Klassen
    
The following are the approved grant recipients:

$8,000 – Altona Community Action Network – Trees at the Community Garden

$5,370 – Youth for Christ Altona – Equipment for Maker Space

$3,000 – Blue Sky Opportunities - Tub lift at 204 residence

$3,000 – Kiddie Sunshine Centre – Chairs and trays

$2,000 - Neubergthal Heritage Foundation – Sidewalk

$1,000 – Altona Angels Softball – Retractable pitching and hitting tunnel

$1,000 – Genesis House – Transitional Housing Project

$500 – Gardens on Tenth - AED
