The Morden and District United Way collected over $76-thousand through their fund raising campaign this year, surpassing their goal of $73-thousand.

Chairperson Cindy Kowalski says the funds will now be distributed to twenty-six agencies.

She says sixteen are strictly local organizations while the other ten are national ones with local ties.

Kowalski says they had a mail-out campaign to residents and businesses.

She says they also did as much door-to-door campaigning as they could based on the number of volunteers they had.
