The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will open the 2021 CFL season against the team they beat in the 2019 Grey Cup game in Calgary.

The Bombers will face the Hamilton Tiger Cats on Thursday, June 10th at IG Field.

The 2021 schedule features three Thursday night games and two Friday games as well as two additional West Division games.

The Bombers and Riders will then meet in the Banjo Bowl on Saturday, September 11th at IG Field.

“The early release of the 2021 schedule is a positive step towards our return to play plan for the 2021 season,” said President & CEO Wade Miller in the football club’s press release. “We can’t wait to get back to IG Field and properly celebrate our 2019 championship with the province.”

The Blue Bombers will play both their pre-season games against Saskatchewan. The first game is on Friday, May 28th in Winnipeg and the second on Friday, June 4th in Regina.

The 108th Grey Cup will be held in Hamilton on November 21st.
