A wheat crop in support of the Canadian Foodgrains Bank has been seeded two miles south of Rosenfeld.

Isaac Froese is with the CHUM project, located 1 mile east off of Highway 30, and he says the crop went in April 10th.

"George Giesbrecht did a lot of organizing on a Friday, and by the end of the day Saturday we had that field done," he explained.

While the CHUM committee consists of eight members, Froese says there's more involved behind the scenes.

"We get so much support from so many different areas whether it be cash, fertilizer, seed," he pointed out. "Our help comes from so many different places between seeding and harvest."

Froese noted Elmer Friesen seeded the field, the seed was donated by LD SEEDS, and CHUM snagged donations and deals on fertilizer and applications from GJ Chemical and Rosetown Co-op.
