Manitoba RCMP have provided more information on this morning's two-vehicle crash north of Altona. 

According to police, a northbound vehicle travelling on Highway 30 stopped at the intersection, but then entered it in an attempt to make a left-hand turn onto PTH 14. That's when it was struck by a vehicle heading east on PTH 14. 

STARS Air Ambulance was among the emergency services to respond. 

RCMP say the driver of the northbound vehicle was transported to hospital with serious injuries. One of the passengers in the eastbound vehicle was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Pembina Valley RCMP are investigating.

 


PembinaValleyOnline has received word of a collision at the intersection of Highways 30 and 14, north of Altona. 

Details of the situation are unknown at this time, including the number of vehicles involved. However, witnesses report traffic is backed up more than a kilometer in both directions. Witnesses have also reported a STARS Air Ambulance was called to the scene and landed on the highway.
