The increasing number of people taking in the Morden Corn and Apple Festival has created a ripple effect of growth.

Dale Lambert has been involved with the event for a number of years.

He says one drastic change is the number of cobs of corn they hand out.

Lambert says the number of cobs handed out has increased from about 1,000 to over 70,000.

There were years they almost didn't have corn for the festival.

Lambert says corn bore took over the crop in early years which left them scrambling.

Lambert says they managed to find enough corn the day before the event started.
