Harvest is underway for the Canadian Foodgrains Bank.

Gordon Janzen is the representative for Manitoba.

"There's been a few growing projects that have been able to go," he commented. "It seems to me that the harvests are a little bit slower or a bit more delayed than other years. That may be just my impression."

Janzen says some cereals have been harvested and the canola is also underway.

He talked about how yields are looking.

"They've been looking very good. I think most of our growing project coordinators have been quite pleased. I haven't heard people talk about a bumper crop but they've been pleased with the crop."

Janzen says the harvest events involve less people this year due to COVID-19.

There are close to 40 grow projects in Manitoba this year.
