Farmers were able to get some seeding done this week, however it will still be a while for many in the Red River Valley.

Darryl Edel farms south of Morris.

"One hundred per cent under water still," he said. "Very, very slow. I can't even get in with a tractor, it's all boating yet. We have a hard time thinking 'how am I even going to plant this year'? It will be our latest year."

Edel says he's still hoping to get a crop in this year.

"We have to put something in. It's stressful for me, because I live in Morris, so it's just tough getting in and out. You have to get in there with a boat with somebody to take you and it's windy half the time. We're not the only ones. There's lots out there. I feel for everybody."
