Garden Valley continues to be one of the fastest growing school divisions in the province.

The division has sent in its final enrollment numbers to the province.

Superintendent Dom Wilkins says the numbers are surprising.

One month ago, the preliminary enrollment increase was 140 students.

The official increase on October 13th was 172 students.

Wilkins says most of the growth has been within the City of Winkler.

He says the new Emerado Centennial School, which can hold 425 students, has had little impact on crowding.

That's because since construction started on the school the division has grown by over 300 students.
