Connor Hellebuyck is the new owner of the Winnipeg Jets/Atlanta Thrashers franchise record for career victories.

The 2019-2020 Vezina Trophy winner stopped 23 shots as Winnipeg defeated the Calgary Flames 4-1 Thursday night at Bell MTS Place.

Hellebuyck earned his 153rd career win passing Ondrej Pavelec on the all-time list.

Mason Appelton, Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele scored second period goals for the Jets who have gained points in eight of 11 games this season.

Appleton added an empty-netter with 1:22 left in regulation.

Mathieu Perreault chipped in with three assists.

Andrew Mangiapane had the lone goal for the Flames.

Calgary netminder Jacob Markstrom made 23 saves.

The Jets (7-3-1) are idle until next Tuesday when they face the Flames in Calgary.

Winnipeg will then play a pair of home games against the Ottawa Senators next Thursday and Saturday.
