Welcome to another edition of Manitoba in Manitoba, one where we take time to mark National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, which is Friday, September 30th.

The day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. Public commemoration and recognition of the tragic and painful history, and ongoing impacts of residential schools, is a vital component of the reconciliation process.

This weekend we welcome Indian City to the program, with band members Neewa Mason, Pamela Davis and Jay Bodner our guests joining us to talk about the re-release of their latest album "Code Red" by Warner Music Canada. The album is full of collaborations including appearances by past Made in Manitoba guests Chantal Kreviazuk and Don Amero.

The trio will also reflect on the importance of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation to all Canadians, and also from a very personal context.
