Katie’s Cottage, located pretty much next door to Boundary Trails Health Centre a hop, skip and a jump to the east, is looking back at the neat things they were able to complete with the help of a Red River Mutual Spruce Up Your Story grant earlier this year. This summer, 10 gathering spaces at the heart of Manitoban and Saskatchewan communities were given a facelift as winners of the Spruce Up Your Story initiative. One of those winners was Katie's Cottage who received $8,000.
I chatted with Ruth Reimer about how the dollars were used to “spruce up” the grounds.
