The Carman R.C.M.P. detachment has seen less activity during the cold weather.

Constable Nicholas Morisset says it's something that happens each winter, at least for a couple of weeks.

He says with people travelling less and staying home more it can often lead to more domestic disputes.

Morisset adds that if people really want to commit a crime it doesn't matter if its plus thirty or minus thirty.

He says each winter they have a couple of weeks where things slow down for them, however they have received more calls from people being stranded on the highway.
