A candidate for mayor of Gretna feels he has a lot to offer the community.

Dennis Loewen has twelve years of experience on the Lynn Lake Town Council, including eight as deputy mayor.

He says he recently moved back to Gretna, which is his childhood home, and feels he has a certain duty to fulfill to the town.

Loewen says a few issues he would like to look into as mayor are the high costs of sewer and water as well as the high taxes.

He feels the cost of living is a bit high for a small town.

Loewen adds there is one thing he would like to take and run with.

That is the work Gretna has done to appeal to commercial businesses and new residents.
