Changes have been made to the Morden Chamber of Commerce executive.

Members were added to represent community wellness, manufacturing as well as a second person with marketing and communication to bring the compliment up to thirteen.

President David Wilkinson says they needed more executive members for more input and to increase attendance at meetings as it's a volunteer board of busy business people.

Meanwhile, Wilkinson says for him, letting his name stand for re-election was a difficult decision.

He says his first term was difficult and frustrating at time.

However, Wilkinson says too many updates and changes to the way the Chamber is managed need to be completed and he didn't want to give up on that yet.

The Chamber is planning a number of events this year that will impact and improve the business community.

Wilkinson says one is their job forum this spring that will target high school students.

He says their hope is youth will see the opporuntities the community has to offer and stay to work here after graduation.
