According to a post on Morden's social media pages, the significant rainfall received over the last day is overwhelming the community's sewer system.

Many residents are experiencing sewer back up at this time.

Officials are asking all residents to immediately reduce water usage, or refrain from using water to help alleviate pressure on the system

Crews are working diligently to get the sewer system to flow quicker.

Meanwhile, the latest deluge of rain has once again caused Altona's waste water system to become overwhelmed. As a result, the town is once again asking residents to re-route sump pumps to drain in yards, and avoid doing laundry, dishes or showering today in order to cut down on the amount of water being pumped through the system.
