The Miller Aces, Morris Mavericks, PCI Trojans and Mountain Mustangs were winners in the Zone 4 High School Hockey League Friday night. Jaxon Hildebrand and Oakley Peters each had a goal and an assist as the Aces edged the Pembina Tigers 4-3; Rylan Keck had four assists in the Mavericks 8-1 victory over the Carman Cougars; Portage Collegiate scored three goals in each period and downed Northlands Parkway 9-3. Miguel Bazin made 33 saves as the Mustangs blanked Garden Valley 5-0.


Dalton Andrew and Carter Dittmer scored 22 seconds apart late in the first period as the Winkler Flyers downed the Winnipeg Blues 4-1 at the Centennial Arena. Andrew added his 17th of the season eight minutes into the third period and Trent Penner potted a power play marker with 8:37 remaining. Winkler’s Malachi Klassen made 25 saves.


Derek Wiebe scored his second goal of the game eight seconds into overtime to lift Pembina Valley past the St. Boniface Riels 3-2. Kyle Van Deynze had the other Twisters goal in regulation.


Carter Campbell scored twice and Raiden LeGall made 23 saves as Pembina Valley downed the Eastman Selects 6-1. Jayden Penner, Kam Thomas, Cedrik Robidoux and Mark Miller also scored for the Hawks. The game was tied 1-1 after the first period. Pembina Valley led 5-1 after 40 minutes.


Marissa Fehr scored twice and drew an assist on Kaitlin Anderson’s third period goal as the Pembina Valley Hawks defeated the Interlake Lightning 3-1. Kaylee Franz made 17 saves.


Connor McClennon scored his second goal of the game two minutes into overtime to lift the Winnipeg Ice past the Brandon Wheat Kings 7-6 at Westoba Place. Evan Friesen notched the tying goal with 2:55 left in regulation for the Ice. Nolan Ritchie had a pair of goals for the Wheat Kings who are 0-7 in overtime games this season.


The Manitoba Moose lost 3-1 to Milwaukee. John Leonard scored twice for the Admirals. Kristian Reichel had the lone goal for the Moose.
