We couldn’t have asked for a better day weather-wise. It was about 25 degrees, sunny, with a pleasant northerly breeze when we started serving at CFAM Radio 950's annual farmer appreciation lunch Tuesday in Plum Coulee.

Thank you for coming from across Southern Manitoba to join us. We had folks from Mariapolis, St. Claude, Tolstoi, Winkler, Morden, Altona and every where in between.

The conversation was lively, the tailgate trade show was busy, and most importantly, we had the opportunity to see all of you in person and catch up on what you’ve been up to. It looks like we served just over 450 people , and it couldn’t have gone better.

Next up… announcing the winner of the grand prize… the Meridian Grain Max 2300 hopper bottom bin and all the extras coming with it this year from Mid-City Redi-Mix (concrete for bin pad), Concrete Edge (bin pad prep work/finishing) and Parkside Home Building Centre (lumber and rebar for forms).

Listen for that announcement during the Manitoba Farm Journal with Cory Knutt, some time between 1230pm and 1pm Wednesday, July 13th.
