The Pembina Valley Water Co-op is again asking residents to conserve water whenever possible.

The Co-op's plants in Stephenfield, Morris and Letellier are operating at full capacity.

Field Engineer Gord Martel says the fact that most farmers are not spraying their fields at this time is helping the situation.

Martel points out the plant at Morris is currently under the most pressure.

He says low river levels are hampering their ability to meet the demand.

Morris residents have been issued notices asking them to cut down on consumption.

Meanwhile, Carman Town Council is somewhat concerned about their water supply.

Mayor Murray Rinn says it's dwindling quickly with increased usage.

He says the dry, hot weather has people irrigating their yards and gardens more.

Residents are asked to cut back on water use as much as possible.

Rinn says it's not compulsory yet but is appreciated to avoid potential problems in the future.
