Winkler Police Service issued a handful of tickets last week, including on July 14 when police observed a vehicle travelling westbound on Highway 14 at a high rate of speed. A reading of 89 km/h in the 60 km/h zone was obtained, and the driver was issued a ticket for Speeding, which carried a $429 fine.

On July 16 police observed a vehicle travelling on Roblin Boulevard East proceed to pass another vehicle at a high rate of speed, and a reading of 89 km/h in the 50 km/h zone was obtained. The driver was issued a ticket for Speeding, which carried a $561 fine.
