We've been celebrating CFAM Radio 950's 60th anniversary over the past month. It was the radio station that started it all for Golden West March 13th, 1957.
Our celebration will continue in June with two very special concerts we're hoping you can be part of.
We're hoping to see listeners from across Southern Manitoba make the trip to Winkler June 15th and Altona June 18th.
This is your official invitation to join us for CFAM Radio 950's 60th anniversary Concerts in the Park. Thursday, June 15th at Bethel Heritage Park in Winkler The Quonset Brothers featuring past Made in Manitoba guest Mark Fehr will take the stage, as well as one the best Elvis impersonators in the country, Corny Rempel.
Sunday, June 18th starting at 2pm in Altona Park... a line up we know you will be willing to drive more than a few miles to enjoy.
Laugh Again's Phil Callaway will have us rolling out of our lawn chairs with laughter and inspirational reflection.
Our very own Morning Show Co-Host Jayme Giesbrecht will hit the stage, and will be sharing more than just a few songs from her debut album “To Keep You from Falling”among other fan favourites.
One of our very favourite past Made in Manitoba guests Don Amero will also be part of the line up.
And she is known across the country for her fiddle playing, and is now also gaining fame for her vocal work with her new album City of Ghosts... Yes!, Sierra Noble will also be part of the day.
Okay, we have to go over this again. Sunday, June 18th: Phil Callaway, Jayme Giesbrecht, Don Amero and Sierra Noble! That's right... all four in one afternoon as we celebrate CFAM Radio 950's 60th anniversary with a Concert in the Park at Altona Park.
And, Thursday, June 15th we'll be at Bethel Heritage Park with The Quonset Brothers and Corny Rempel as Elvis!
Two amazing Concerts in the Park in celebration of CFAM Radio 950's 60th Anniversary. We hope you will be able to join us!
