Saturday, May 12th Mennonite Collegiate Institute (MCI) in Gretna will host its annual Spring Fundraiser at the school. The event will feature a couple of different things this year, including the debut of a new documentary about the school. Director of Student Life Services Paul Peters joins us now with all the details.

 

 

Doors open at 6:45pm for a coffee house style meet, greet and mingle in the foyer at the school with performances by past Made in Manitoba guest and MCIer Kenzie Jane, as well as Annika Enns-Dyck a graduate in 2014 and soon to graduate Scott Dick.

The evening will also feature performances in Buhler Hall by the school’s various vocal groups, and the debut of a new documentary Strength for Today, Bright Hope for Tomorrow which will reflect on MCI’s past, its present and future through the eyes of alumni covering nearly seven decades.
