Past Made in Manitoba guests fared very well in the 2017 Unsigned Only Music Competition, including Niverville’s Jordan St. Cyr! He won first place in the Christian category with the song “In My Lifetime”.

Selected from 6,000 entries from almost 100 countries, the winners share in over $150,000 in cash and prizes split among 28 winners. Unsigned Only is open to all artists who are unsigned to a major record label.

Mike Thom, from our sister station CHVN, caught up with Jordan to talk about the win and recognition it will bring.

Jordan St. Cyr from Niverville, one of three Manitobans recognized in the 2017 Unisgned Only Music Competition.

Matt Epp received second place for his song “The Sound” in the Adult Contemporary category, and Fauozia, who sings on that song and is from Carman was the grand prize winner of the entire competition with her song “Knock on My Door”.

Now how cool is that! We’ve always known we have a tonne of great talent in our province, and that’s why every Saturday at 5:05pm and Monday’s at 10:35pm we feature Made in Manitoba.
