The Altona Curling Club is hosting the 2018 Canola Junior Curling Championships December 26th to 31st at the Millennium Exhibition Centre. The province’s 32 best junior women’s and men’s teams will be competing to wear the bison, and represent our province at the 2018 Canadian Juniors.

Keith Stoesz is the Co-Chair of the local organizing committee, and spoke with Morning Show Co-Host Chris Sumner about hosting the event which may feature tomorrow’s Canadian curling stars.

About 200 volunteers are needed during the event, covering a wide range of roles including ice maintenance, ticket takers, 50/50, draw announcing, access control and so much more. Keith also chatted about how the committee is turning to Southern Manitoba to help make this the best junior event ever!

If you’d like to see the country’s curling stars of tomorrow up close and personal, how about volunteer for a shift or two! You can register entirely online at the Altona Curling Club website.
