This past Friday, July 14th, the town of Letellier had its second annual Water Wars. It was an evening full of fun and laughs, and the weather was on our side even though it was supposed to storm.

While it is still a new event for Letellier, many people came out to join the fun. People all the way from Winnipeg even came out to participate.

In the water wars, two opposing teams equipped with a fire hose would stand opposite of each other with a suspended ball in between them. The goal was then to push the suspended ball using only the water hose to the side of the opposite team.

Everyone who participated got completely soaked and the watchers on the sidelines got sprayed every now and then as well but everyone had a great time.

While the Water Wars was all about having some community fun, it was also a fundraiser for the Letellier Park and the Letellier and District Volunteer Fire department.
