Saturday, February 3rd we were at the Morris Multiplex for CFAM Night at the Pembina Valley Twisters. Lots of fun was had, and lots of prizes were given away, but the main focus of the night was the conclusion of the CancerCare

Manitoba Fundraiser week hosted by the hockey team.

Co-Owner Pat Schmitke was a little lighter at the end of the night after having his head and mustache shaved for the cause. As the Twisters and St. James Canadiens were finishing up the game on the ice, Pat and I looked back at the week that was.

The final numbers are still coming in, but it looks like just over $19,000 was raised during events held by the Twisters, Morris Mavericks, Red River Valley Mud Bugs and Red River Wild. That brings the total amount raised by this event over it’s nine year history to nearly $145,000. Amazing job!
