Team Manitoba captured five medals at the 2019 Canada Winter Games Wednesday in Red Deer, Alberta.

Jesse Bachinksy of Kenora finished third in Cross Country Skiing Para Nordic Standing Sprint.

The other four medals were won in judo.

Sam Urich of Winnipeg got silver while Michael Akbashev of Winnipeg and Justin & Sara Ekosky of Selkirk captured bronze.

Manitoba athletes have won 19 medals including eight gold, four silver and seven bronze.

Alpine ski and judo have practice days today.
