The Miller Aces and Portage Collegiate Trojans won the Zone 4 High School Golf championship banners Friday at a soggy Winkler golf course.

Kim Froese, Kelly Klassen, Kirstyn Hildebrand, Brooklyn Thiessen and Mackenzie Zacharias won the girls title.

It's the second year in a row Miller has won the zone banner.

The Aces fivesome finished with a 313 total which was 55 shots better than Madi Cox, Emma Gylywoychuk, Tylar Takvam, Hannah Petrie and Kim Niclajsen of Carman Collegiate.

Froese had the low round of the day with 16-over par 86.

Owen Gillespie, Clark Bolton, Tanner Boyle, Logan Rands and Joey Moffatt of the Trojans won the boys banner with a 246 total.

Colton Harder, Matt Fehr, Bronson Toews, Dawson Rempel and Spencer Malloy of Miller Collegiate
had the same 246 score but lost out on a countback.

Spencer Norrie, Mitch Penner, Odin Pauls, Ezekiel Fehr and Oren Worley of Morden Collegiate finished one shot back in third place.

Caydon Klassen, Eric Klassen, Marcus Neufeld and Andrew Lane of Northlands Parkway Collegiate finished in fourth place with a 264 total.

Norrie had the low round with a two-over par 72.

Miller girls and Portage Collegiate boys will represent Zone 4 at the Provincial High School Golf Championship on Friday, September 23rd at the Winkler golf course.
